geocaching

Geocaching is basically a treasure-hunting outdoor adventure, where you use a GPS, coordinates and hints to find a "geocache" which is usually a small box, or container. Inside of the geocache is usually a log book, and little treasures that people have left behind when they found it. Geocaching is a world-wide "sport, and geocaches are found all around the world.

I learned a lot during this unit, including how to enter new coordinates in a GPS, more about using a GPS to find a destination, and a lot about how to go geocaching.

My team found two Geocaches, the first was hidden in a tree in a small box, with a log book and there was a baseball card inside.
The second one was under brush at the roots of a tree. This one was in a box similar to the firstm and had a cinderella ring inside of it.
